This painting was inspired by the verse, “And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, declares the Lord, and I will be the glory in her midst.” — Zechariah 2:5. This is the verse I added to this painting on the far left. I saw this verse on an image online when I was in high school and saved it for years. I went through a season of hardship, and that is when I truly learned about God's armor. I learned this by diving deep into His Word. This became my sword. The Bible talks about the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, which took me the longest to paint! 🥹, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sandals of the gospel of peace, helping us stand firm and keep moving forward in faith. They became the things I had to reach for, in pain, in surrender, and in healing. This painting is a reminder of what it looks like when God covers you in battle. He will always fight for you. It's through hardship that we learn what it truly means to trust Him.
